FHE games

Olivia was in charge of the activity for one of our FHE nights.  She had read in the Friend a game called Schokoladenessen!  A Swiss game meaning "chocolate eating".

You take a candy bar and place it on the table, along with a hat, mittens, scarf, knife, and fork.  Each player takes turns rolling dice.  If a player rolls a six, they quickly put on the winter clothes and try to open and eat the chocolate with the knife and fork before someone else rolls a six.  The person who eats the last piece of chocolate wins.

Poor Kaitlyn was having a hard time rolling sixes and Devin was just having fun throwing the dice across the table.  Everyone ate plenty of chocolate so it was a win for everyone.

Valentine's

Trying to make sure I spend time with all the kids during their Valentine's parties was a little exhausting. Good thing they don't do parties in the Middle school!

Alec, Devin and I had lunch together at Alec's school.

She made this Chewbacca box by herself.  This girl loves Star Wars like her older sister!

 I found this note that Kaitlyn wrote to Olivia, this must have been shortly after Olivia gave our FHE lesson:

Dear Olivia, Happy V day!  I hope you had a great day cause I had a good one.  Thank you for making me happy today.  You had a great lesson.  I liked your card making ideas/lesson.  I also liked how you said Abandi's on fire!  Have a great V-day.  You probably don't think I love you lots!  But I really do love you lots!

Things that happened last January

Good morning Texas!!!!

Kaitlyn and her friend Campbell had a lot of fun creating and being scientist with Kaitlyn chemistry set she got for Christmas.

 Devin loves to watch Wiggles and Little Einsteins in his chair

 Dentist check-up 1-2-3 all the girls are cavity free. 

Alec still struggles with the dentist and screams while I hold him in my lap and lean him back.

 Monthly lunch date with these two awesome ladies!

As soon as we get home from church Devin heads straight for his cars.  He started to wear hats and I think he looks so adorable in them.

 Abby and Kaitlyn were bored at church so they got creative with the bulletin

 Devin and I went to surprise Olivia and have lunch with her but she was chosen for a buddy lunch.  We just said hello and then left.

 Pulled out the telescope to watch the eclipse.  We woke Olivia up to see and she didn't remember any of it the next morning.

Lego Land Discovery

Olivia really wanted to go to Lego Land since this was an off year of a friend party, we went and celebrated as a family.  Todd stayed home with Devin so we wouldn't have to worry about him and Todd was able to get some quite time at home.  Win-win.

 There weren't many people there when we arrived so we had plenty of time to do everything several times over.  They loved the cars.

 Last time Abby can ride - too big!

 Happy birthday once again Olivia!  Fun to spend the day celebrating you!
