November Miscellaneous

Alec is officially 18 months and joined the ranks of nursery!  It's nice that he and Olivia overlap for a couple months.  Alec loves to climb the table and one morning I found Olivia feeding him some of her breakfast.
Alec loves to play with my phone and especially my camera.  I have deleted hundreds of pictures by him.  I just decided to photo bomb this one.

November - Rewind

The warm month of November, we spent as much time as possible outside riding bikes, scooters, and playing at parks.  Not too much happened this month until around Thanksgiving.  Olivia's preschool had a feast for the parents to come and have a Thanksgiving lunch with the kids.  I didn't realize there was a little program before hand and I barely made it.  Olivia is in the second row, far left looking sad because she can't see me.  Once she did, she cheered right up.

Laurie and the gang came up for Thanksgiving so we planned fun activities every day for the cousins.  We spent one day at the lake just letting the kids explore, find dead fish, and throw rocks to their hearts content.

Olivia dresses herself and she's really big on mismatching socks.  This was the days get-up.

Love this picture of Alec and Todd walking together

Another day we spent at the science museum and let the kids try out the forces of wind in the hurricane wind tunnel.

Abby and Benson spent many hours doing "research".  They looked up all sorts of facts about different animals and made a book full of their drawings and information that they found.

They didn't want anyone bothering them so they covered the windows and wrote many messages including: "Don't bother us! spechly uncle todd."

Kaitlyn loved playing Apples to Apples - shaking her fist at us

The rest of the month flew on by with really nice weather and we had so many butterflies in the front that the girls would catch them day after day.  This picture was taken Nov. 26.  Got to love Texas weather!

Halloween - rewind

I love watching my kids during Halloween.  They picked out their costumes a month before and never changed their minds.  Abby was determined to decorate every nook and cranny of the house "Halloweenish".  We put spider webs on our bushes so Abby wanted to make spiders to go with it.  That girl goes through a roll of tape like nobody.

I was able to help plan and take part of Olivia's Halloween party at school.  I love that they still can do this at the preschool level.  They even had a little costume parade with all the kids.

Halloween finally came and Gigi and Gpa and Aunt Monica came over for pizza and trick-or-treating.
Olivia DID NOT want to wear the wig that came with her costume.  It was actually amusing watching Todd try to convince her to wear it.  He put it on and I have some classic shots with him in a long blond wig - I promised him I wouldn't post them though.  They are awesome though.
Alec was a cute little monster and LOVED having claws on his hands.
He did so well trick or treating, lasted the whole time with us in his stroller.

We went around by ourselves this year and I really enjoyed going at our pace.  My sister stayed with us the whole time while Todd manned passing out candy.  Alec walked a few homes and then we got smart and went back for the stroller for him.  I got a kick out of just watching him.  He loved all the costumes, decorations, and of course, the candy.  The girls all got along really well and did a good job of taking turns knocking on doors and we even ran into our old neighbors who were visiting a friend.   As I type this at the beginning of January, we still have candy floating around from Halloween.  Time to throw it out!
