Tree Trimming

We had a ton of trees in our yard and we finally decided it was time to remove a lot of them.  When we had some bad wind storms we would loose branches on trees, some close to the house.  It was time to cut down 3 of our bigger trees too.  It was painful to have to cut down these huge trees but it needed to be done, they were rotten in the middle. We were worried they would fall on the house, a car, or even one of the kids.  Devin enjoyed the day watching the men climb the trees and chop the branches.  He also loved the machine that mulched it all.  It was an exciting day for a little boy.

Family Campout

We had planned on taking the kids camping but we had tons of rain the night before.  The campsite was over an hour away and Todd got home late from work that night.  We called an audible and decided to just camp in our backyard.  

It was a perfect evening and the kids had a blast.  Abby made a scavenger hunt to do and the kids stayed up way too late telling stories.  Kaitlyn stayed in the tent until she decided she wanted to go to bed and she went inside and slept in her own bed.

Choir Contest

Chaperoning Kaitlyn's choir to their contest at Sandy Lake (place looks the same when I was there 20 years ago!)

 The kids did a fabulous job signing and received a 1 rating - the highest you can get.

 After singing, the kids were able to spend the rest of the afternoon playing games, going putt-putt, riding carnival type rides, or taking the paddle boats out.  

I thought Kaitlyn was going to throw up after this ride - too much spinning!

Stadium Day

Yearly Stadium day for our school.  I was the chaperone for Olivia's class and it was so fun to watch the kids have a fun time with their friends.

 Running relay races.  Olivia even ran in the grade level 50 meter dash.

Preschool Graduation

Bubbles

Bubbles are so entertaining.  The kids would spend several afternoons outside blowing bubbles and having fun family time.

Mother's Day 2016

Alec had a Mother's Tea at his school where the kids sang to their moms.  Alec was a little too shy and didn't want to sing with the group, he would look up at me and smile though.  He was singing in his heart.  As I tried to get a picture with me and Alec, Devin wanted in on the action too.

 Todd takes the kids to the store and they pick out several different types of flowers.  They then come home and they each make unique bouquets for me.  I get 5 custom made bouquets every Mother's Day!

After a night of camping we celebrated Alec's birthday with cousins at Chuck E Cheese and a spaghetti dinner at home with everyone.

 Alec loves Spiderman so a Spiderman cake was in store.

 Kaitlyn is really good at this game and can win a lot of tickets

 She just won 70 tickets with her skills.
