Animal Farm

Alec's pre-school had a traveling petting farm come.  It was so cute to see all these little animals.  Alec was a bit skittish at the beginning but soon warmed up to feeding the animals.  Devin had no problem and jumped right in to petting and feeding the animals.

 I wanted to take this little baby pig home!  And the baby goats!!!

September Misc

We enjoyed beautiful weather all through September.  We even pulled out the telescope to watch the eclipse that happened. 

The mornings, afternoons, whenever, you can find Devin outside.  His favorite thing was pushing this car around the driveway.  He hadn't quite figured out how to sit in it and use his feet.  He just wants to be outside.

Besides being outside, Devin loves water!  Todd was working on the sprinklers and like a moth to a flame, Devin had to go in the water.  He had so much fun playing!

Kaitlyn our little puzzler finished this puzzle on her own.

Devin and Grandpa spending some time together.  Devin does this little dance any time he sees Grandpa.  It makes both of their days.

Lunch date with Olivia!

Lunch date with old FM 5 friends!  Melissa and Gina moved back to Texas but not by us.  It was just a good excuse to make the trek down to Costa Vida for lunch!  

Celebrated Gigi's birthday!  Took her out to lunch!

I had been serving as Activity Day leader and by the time we get home it's usually around 6:00 and the kids are starving.  Todd was out of town so instead of fighting the crazies we just headed to Sonic and everyone was happy.

Kaitlyn and Abby were able to go to the General RS broadcast but before we enjoyed a dinner out.  It's nice to spend evenings like this with my girls.

Todd turns 40!

Todd turned 40 back in September!  He's a low key guy so we didn't do anything too big and the crazy thing is he sent me flowers on his birthday!  He's a keeper!

Devin liked it so much he climbed on the table and kept sticking his finger into the whipped cream.

Alec, Devin and  I surprised Todd at work for lunch.  I was planning on bringing some of his favorite food but his secretary said lunch was already being catered so we just brought in a big ice cream cake for everyone.

 Todd's present was going to the Garth Brooks concert.  It's not something he would have chosen himself but I had always wanted to see him in concert and I never got the opportunity before he retired.  I was thrilled to hear he was coming out and a few of us tried to get tickets together but we couldn't get 6 together so we ended up just splitting up.  Tickets sold out so fast they opened up more concerts.  We ended up getting a 10:30 that didn't start until 11:30.  Traffic was crazy with one concert leaving and another coming but we finally made it!

Garth did not disappoint and played all his famous hits and then some!  I was surprised at his energy at 1:00 am for his second show of the night!  The guy did not stop!  Fun memories but we're too old to get home at 2:30.

To the Park

It was a perfect weather day and I dropped Kaitlyn off to softball practice and instead of hanging out at the fields, we headed over to a nearby park.  We had it practically to ourselves since it was a school night but the kids played hard.  It was nice to relax and have a change of pace for a bit.

Nursery

Our youngest have joined the ranks of nursery!  This is the first time I can sit in Sunday School without a little one in years!  I don't know what to do with myself!

Devin was a little unsure at first and had a hard time when I left, so I stayed with him the first two weeks. He quickly adjusted and loves to go now. He especially loves snack time and bubbles!

Back to School and hello Middle School!

August 2015

Abby is beginning the middle school years!  She is excited to start at her new school.  The first day she said she was "nervcited" (excited/nervous). Most of her friends from elementary were going to the other middle school and since we moved, we are now zoned for the smaller middle school.  It has been fantastic!  Abby has excelled at school and has loved being in MS!  There is a good group of girls that Abby hangs out with and they have become a nice knit group of friends.

She's in class with a couple boys from church and her good friend Reagan!

 Kaitlyn has Mrs. E - who is the kindest and most patient teacher out there!  And Kaitlyn's switch teacher is Mrs. D who she had last year - she was thrilled!

 Alec was also able to meet his new teachers for Preschool.  Ms. Cindy and Ms. Andrea who are so sweet!  Alec is excited to be in class with six of his friends from last year and of course his cousin Matthew!  Alec is of course, a little nervous and shy going into the new school year.
