Mom/Daughter Dates

Todd isn't the only one that takes the girls out - we had a girls night out to see Cinderella!

It was a lot of fun to be with the girls - the play was fabulous and during one song, Cinderella twirls around and goes from rags to wearing a beautiful ball gown.  Kaitlyn and Olivia both had audible gasps and "how'd they do that!?"  It was truly some magic on stage.

As close as Kaitlyn was going to get to the sign
After waiting in line to get a picture all together, the stranger that took it got a blurry picture.  Oh well.

Father/Daughters Date

Todd took the girls to another Father Daughter Date to Chick Fil-A.  The restaurant does this every year near Father's day, you just have to reserve a time because space is limited.  One side of the restaurant is decorated, the girls get a limo ride, and have a fun dinner with their dad, it's a great activity for them and they always come home excited.  Kaitlyn wasn't too thrilled to go, for some reason she doesn't like CFA! (gasp!) but she was all smiles at the end.

They all had a fun time and to top it off, Olivia won a gift basket at the end!

June Misc.

Kaitlyn graduating 3rd grade!  We loved her teacher so much!
This is the best picture I got of them too and it's blurry!
Kaitlyn ended up with straight A's once again this year.
Olivia and Ms. F graduating Kindergarten!
Olivia is a great reader and was reading on a first grade level before school even started.

Before the girls were out of school for the summer, Alec and I were cleaning the pool and Alec was bending over with a bucket and bent over a little too far!  He fell in but luckily I was right next to him and pulled him right out.

First official summer swim!

Cute little face!  15 months old!!

Kaitlyn is one of Devin's favorite people.  She is so good with him and loves to play with him.
One of the first things Abby did on summer break was take a week long cake decorating class with a few friends from school.  She loved it and learned a lot.  The mother who set it up also arranged rides and made it so I never had to drive (because honestly, I didn't have room in the van to do the carpool!)  She was so nice to make it very easy on me!

The last class they designed and decorated a cake to take home.  I love that Abby is exploring new things.

May Misc.

For Mother's Day, Laurie and I were able to spoil mom with a pedicure and a fun afternoon out.

The kids made me a clue hunt - with very clever rhymes - to find my mother's day gift.  They had me going all over the house but it was a lot of fun.

Alec had his last day of preschool with a program but he was sick for the last two days.  We went to watch and sat in the back.  Poor Alec just waved good-bye to his friends that he had made that year.

Can't really remember what they were doing - I think they were doing a circus show.
Todd got tickets to the Byran Nelson and took the kids out for the morning.  They had a lot of fun and it was a fun Daddy-kid outing.

We had a Hawaiian themed school party at the end of the year.  They advertised there would be a costume contest for the family that was the best dressed Hawaiian for a 4 pack to a nearby waterpark.  We were into it - borrowed a couple items for Todd and I - and we were the only family dressed up!  Alec wouldn't dress up but we had a shirt for him!    We did have a fun night and the kids got up to hulu with the dancers - winning just was the icing on the cake.
