Credit Cards

Today while returning back to the pharmacy, (3 days in a row now) I pulled my wallet out to pay and realized that my credit card was missing! Panic!! I then realized the last place I used it was 24 hours earlier at their pharamacy walk-up window. I asked if they had it and they couldn't find it. More panic! I said that I used the walk-up window, could they check there. Low and behold, more than 24 hours later, my credit card was still in the window! I can only imagine how many people had used the window in the past day. The lady behind said, "You must be doing something right to have that card still there." Unbelievable! What a blessing that it was still there!

The Big Red Letter Stands for the Jell-o Family

Kaitlyn has been sick quite a bit this winter. This past illness started on Thursday with a fever that wouldn't go away. By Saturday she developed a REALLY nasty cough (this should have been a good enough warning sign for me, but no). On Sunday, Kaitlyn coughed so badly and was feeling so sick she ended up throwing up the red jell-o we had at dinner all over our hallway carpet, the walls, the doors, Todd in his church suit, and herself. Red of all things! I couldn't get the red out of the carpet so I called our great neighbors who have a carpet steamer. Two seconds later the dad was over and cleaned it for us! You know you have great neighbors when they help you clean up your child's throw up. All I could do was laugh at the mess.

Kaitlyn still hadn't improved on Monday so we headed to the doctor on the next morning. She has some wheezing in the lungs, a double ear infection, and a bad case of tonsillitis. YIKES! I just have to say how grateful I am to good neighbors, doctors, insurance, friends, and my mom who came watch the girls while I got a few things done. Kaitlyn is already doing much better now that she has some medicine in her. Hopefully we're done with illnesses for awhile.

Name

Abby wrote her name all by herself at school today! Her teacher was impressed and made sure that I knew that she did it.

Year of the House - January

Since my resolution was "the year of the house" I'm really moving and FINALLY getting some things done. Here are my bigger projects I did in January:

-Touched up the paint around the house- covered all the black marks, finger prints, food stains on our flat paint.

-Cleaned out and organized the attic

-Organized the hallway closet

-Dejunked and straigtened out the guest room

-painted Abby's room pink and green (the colors look better in person). Some of you may recoginze those pictures that you painted.


We now have a LARGE pile that is still growing of things to get rid of. Let's see what I can I can get done in Feb.
