Playing in the Mud

Our neighbors are having a pool built so we get a lot of dirt and water runoff in front of our yard.  Devin decided he really wanted to be one with the mud and we let him.  He had so much fun playing in the mud and then splashing it into the ditch.  Why not let him play, the clothes and Devin are both washable.

Rollerskating

Another summer bucket list item was rollerskating.  The kids earn free passes from the library and we try to go a few times over the summer.  We found the best time is to go mid-afternoon when all the summer camps are gone and the younger kids are home taking naps.  We get the rink practically to ourselves!  This was something new for Alec and he loved it!

Rock Climbing

The kids love to rock climb.  I'm glad the gym I use has a rock wall that the kids can use.  We went several times over the summer.  Easy activity that they all love.  Kaitlyn is really good about scaling those walls and getting to the top!

This was Alec's first time and each time he went up, he'd get a little further than the last time.  We'll have him to the top eventually!
